In September 2025, the trustees of the RAMSF agreed to wind up the charity and distribute the remaining funds equally between Stowmarket Striders Running Club and Stowmarket Volleyball Club.

Between 2019 and 2025 the RAMSF awarded numerous bursaries to sports clubs and young athletes in the Stowmarket area and remain grateful to all those who supported its work.

In winding up the RAMSF, the trustees recall with affection the life and times of Ron Ames in whose memory the RAMSF was established.
